"The Big Bang Theory"
October 2013
Back in August, fans of "The Big Bang Theory" were treated to an Emmy Nomination party held on their shooting Stage 25 at Warner Bros. Studios. The entire cast, including ta-da! newly minted Emmy Winner Bob Newhart (Professor Proton), and creative team filled the front of the set, which from left to right, encompasses: the cafeteria of the University, Penny's apartment, the apartment building hallway with perpetually broken elevator, and Leonard and Sheldon's apartment.
Then, here's where the real elation sets in (pun intended): Once the panel ended, the Cracken was released and spectators flooded below to join our favorite BB Theorists and take a million photos of a 2D world come to life. Come inside my photo diary for tons of cast photos and me posing geekily in every corner possible. There's a bonus gallery featuring more cast photos and you won't want to miss a series of epic crack-ups brought on by none other than Bob Newhart.

Do these lovely people know the level of mayhem about to descend upon them?
As part of the studio audience; The audience risers from the stage floor
You don't see this everyday. Two TV icons come together when Jerry Mathers ("Leave it to Beaver") greets Bob Newhart.
Breaking the 4th Wall: Here's what the actors see during filming.
This hotel room and bar set were temporarily constructed for the season premiere episode (9/26) in which Bernadette and Amy were away at a neuroscience conference. You'll notice the people dining in the hotel bar set are noshing on Chinese takeout, which was provided that evening along with fortune cookies and cheesecake. Gotta love a party that knows what its guests will appreciate and geek out over!
Upstairs / Downstairs - Either way, they're not leading you anywhere!
Penny's apartment:
Knock! Knock! Knock! Penny?
Ever wonder what's on the opposite wall of Penny's bed?
Why, it's no wall at all, just a glimpse backstage. The closest I'll get to pretending to be Kaley Cuoco
Exiting Penny's bedroom

Leonard's and Sheldon's apartment:
Shhh...don't tell Sheldon I'm creeping around!
Does anyone know when the elevator's supposed to be back in service?

The University cafeteria set, which is located stage left of Penny's apartment
Thanks for the tour, CBS & WB! I'll be watching every week from my own couch at home, but I have to say, Sheldon's spot has quite the view!
