Did you know that "Salute Your Shorts," a Nickelodeon series about life at summer camp which aired from 1991-1992, has the distinguished honor of being the only show in TV history with a theme song that contains the word "fart"?

Children of '90s Nick, welcome home. We came up during the golden age of Nickelodeon, and that's exactly what was celebrated at Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo this past September when the cast and creative team responsible for "Salute Your Shorts" reunited for the first time in over twenty years.

Featuring a panel discussion and autograph signing, the only absent cast members were Heidi Lucas ("Dina Alexander") and Megan Berwick ("Z.Z. Ziff").

For 26 episodes, we sang along to one of the most remembered and cherished theme songs of the time, written by composer Ed Alton, who was also in attendance. It was indeed a special moment when the entire room stood at attention to salute our shorts (and childhoods) and sing about Camp Anawanna and remember the dear friendships we made there. Special thanks go to Kirk Baily (Ug) for fulfilling our innermost hopes and dreams by recreating his lyric live!

Speaking of dreams -er- nightmares, let's take a moment to un-repress the memory of Zeke the Plumber, and while we're at it, write the next check for therapy.

Well-played, Nickelodeon. You managed to maintain the loyalty and adoration of millions of little kids for the duration of our childhoods despite terrorizing the hell out of us whenever you felt like it.
